Nespresso CitiZ & Milk Espresso Machine

Problems making your own espresso drinks? Don't know how to froth the milk like the pros? Here's the solution: Nespresso CitiZ & Milk Espresso Machine!!!

I just saw this machine demonstrated at Sur la Table and it was very impressive! Sur la Table is offering a free latte or cappuccino with the demonstration of this machine (hey, a sign that says, "Free Cappuccino with demo" is going to catch my attention!).  It was worth a looksie!

The lady that was demoing the machine explained that this machine uses pre-measured espresso pods that you just pop right in and the machine does the rest. The frothy milk? Well, that is equally as easy! All you do is pour the milk in the adjacent milk cup, the Aerocino, (see above picture) and push the button and it heats and froths the milk in 60 seconds! Now, that's amazing! No more steamer stick to clean! No more worrying about how to froth the milk and when stop. It's literally a no-brainer!! Anyone can work this machine and that's the beauty and simplicity of it!

Now, usually, when I watch a demo, I figure the machine has got to be a thousand bucks or something and they are trying really hard to sell one! To my surprise Sur la Table's price for this Nespresso machine was only $349, plus an additional 10% off because it was a featured product demonstration that day. What a deal! Now, it's not exactly cheap, but it's not one of those really cheap $50 espresso machines that will probably break in one month! I would say that if you are serious about getting a home espresso machine, this is a good one to consider. Not only is it easy, it's also pretty to look at! It comes in black or red. It is really sturdy and modern looking (it was made in Switzerland) and it has 19 bars of pressure that brews fresh, aromatic espresso crema each time! That's a lot of power for such a small machine! It's only 5 inches wide, so it won't hog all your countertop space in your kitchen, either!

The only draw back that I noted was that this machine ONLY uses their espresso pods. So, if you are looking for a machine that will take your favorite espresso, look elsewhere. This machine is part of the espresso pod trend to make homemade espresso drinks as easy to make as possible.

My favorite feature of this machine was Aerocino cup that warms and froths the milk perfectly! It really was neat to watch! Plus the latte I sampled was pretty good--it just needed some vanilla! It was actually pretty strong and I asked for a mild one! So, if you like a strong hit of espresso, go try this out at Sur la Table! They will gladly demo this machine for you.

There's more good news! Amazon.com sells the black model for $339 (prices change on Amazon, though), plus free shipping and no tax upfront (you must, of course, report all online sales tax transactions when you do your taxes each year).

Find a Sur la Table near you and ask for a demo of this machine and you'll get a free cappuccino!
