Here's how I kill two birds with one stone in the winter:
1. The heater, which is our fireplace, is usually on in the winter because our home has very poor insulation;
2. Usually, after I wash our sweaters, I lay them flat outside on our clothes rack to air dry, but they don't dry very fast outside, since it's so cold! I decided to move the clothes rack in front of the fireplace, so the fire helps speed up the drying process while heating up the house!
I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! I am sure other people must do this, but I'm loving how fast things dry now!

Probably helps humidify the house in the dry winter too. Or does it not get dry there. . .?
ReplyDeleteAmber: It doesn't get that dry here, just crisp and cold. I'm a little slow for having just thought of this! I was drying our bathmat and it was taking forever to dry outside, so I stuck it in front of the fireplace and it helped so much! Now, I use the fireplace for my drying station and it's great!
