Tina Fey

So, Tina Fey has captured my heart because she is super quirky and not afraid to be a "nerd" on TV (but she's a cool nerd if you ask me! I love her nerdy charm as Liz Lemon on 30 Rock). Tina Fey is so smart and sassy, and her writing is so tight and witty. I just think she's mega brilliant!

I was first introduced to the multifaceted talents of Tina Fey through her "spot on" impressions of Sarah Palin that James showed me. After I saw the clips of SNL with Tina Fey portraying Sarah Palin (which I found to be extremely hilarious), I was hooked. I wasn't one of the initial fans of 30 Rock or anything, and I don't really watch SNL, because I just don't have time to watch TV (any shows that I can watch, I have to record). I started watching 30 Rock only after seeing Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin and now I'm a huge fan of 30 Rock and Tina Fey.

For some reason, I can just relate to all of Liz Lemon's nerdy, awkward quirkiness and her love of food, of course! I just find the writing to be so excellent and the comedic timing on 30 Rock is so stellar that I actually end up laughing out loud quite a bit! 30 Rock is just so silly and self-reflexive and post modern and ironic and goofy and satirical and witty and just uber fantastical! I love it!

This first clip is so funny--I love how Liz Lemon loves food and there's always jokes about that on 30 Rock. Here's the Liz Lemon workout (which is like a dream workout! LOL!):




This next clip is so goofy. I could not believe that she did this! Imagine someone really doing this to get out of jury duty...wonder if it'd work or if the judge would accuse you of watching too much 30 Rock?
