Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix: Songs from Walk the Line

Here's a cute duet cover by Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix of Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me, Babe" from the movie, Walk the Line. Joaquin Phoenix just amazed me with his singing ability! Apparently right before they started filming Walk the Line, his voice miraculously dropped one octave so he could hit the low Johnny Cash notes in the songs he had so sing for the movie! And Reese Witherspoon, she is just absolutely brilliant as well. I just love the two of them in this movie--so compelling, with a sincere deference to the amazing Johnny Cash story.

Joaquin Phoenix singing "Folsom Prison Blues." Listen for the deep note drop on "San
Antone" at the end of the line: "But that train keeps a rollin'/on down to San Antone."

Love Joaquin Phoenix's strong vocals in, "Ring of Fire."

Gosh, these notes are so low, I don't know how Joaquin Phoenix doesn't go flat when
singing, "Walk the Line." It's just such a hard register to hit and yet he does it so well!
